A shameful episode occurred in Castellammare di Stabia. Swabs, rapid tests and masks were stolen from the ASL drive-in covid garrison in the Antiche Terme square, which became operational last August.
The incident was publicly reported by the mayor of Castellammare Gaetano Cimmino on his social media channels. “The ASL district informed us that swabs, rapid tests and masks were stolen from the drive-in Covid facility at the Antiche Terme. I am horrified and astonished by such a gesture, a shameful act, an insult to citizens, a slap in the face to those who are suffering in these delicate days. The drive-in is now regularly underway. I am certain that the police will track down and bring these scoundrels to justice, who are the emblem of the squalor and human scum that we fight every day to protect citizens”.
"We are shocked and disgusted, this is a very sneaky action also because we wonder what people who are not experts should do with molecular swabs. We must clarify as soon as possible." - is the comment of Marilena Schiano Lo Moriello and Elena Marini, representatives of Europa Verde in Castellammare.
“Speechless. This episode further demonstrates how much more security is needed in hospital facilities. We have been asking for a long time, unheard, for permanent presence of law enforcement in these facilities.” - concluded the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
