A shameful episode occurred in Castellammare di Stabia. Swabs, rapid tests and masks were stolen from the ASL drive-in covid garrison in the Antiche Terme square, which became operational last August.

The incident was publicly denounced by Castellammare's mayor, Gaetano Cimmino, on his social media channels. "The local health authority (ASL) informed us that swabs, rapid tests, and masks were stolen from the Antiche Terme drive-in COVID center. I am horrified and astonished by such a gesture, a shameful act, an affront to the citizens, a slap in the face to those suffering in these difficult times. The drive-in is now operating as usual. I am certain that law enforcement will track down and bring these scoundrels to justice, who are the epitome of the squalor and human scum we fight every day to protect our citizens."

"We are shocked and disgusted, this is a very sneaky action also because we wonder what people who are not experts should do with molecular swabs. We must clarify as soon as possible." - is the comment of Marilena Schiano Lo Moriello and Elena Marini, representatives of Europa Verde in Castellammare.

“Speechless. This episode further demonstrates how much more security is needed in hospital facilities. We have been asking for a long time, unheard, for permanent presence of law enforcement in these facilities.” - concluded the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
