Large-scale “inter-provincial” anti-drug operation by the Salerno Flying Squad which, assisted by agents from other police headquarters, including that of Naples, has dismantled several groups of traffickers and dealers capable of constantly supplying the drug dealing areas of Salerno and the surrounding municipalities.
A total of 45 people are under investigation by the DDA. With the help of the Crime Prevention Units, the dog units and with the air support of a State Police helicopter, the precautionary measures issued by the investigating judge were notified to the recipients accused, in various capacities, of association aimed at the illicit trafficking of narcotics. During the Chef “Crack – Ko” operation, the agents, during the searches, also discovered quantities of hashish, a revolver and 700 thousand euros in cash, probable proceeds of the illicit activity. The investigators identified the heads of the criminal groups in the persons of Luca Franceschelli and Fabio Salzano and reconstructed the entire chain of drug trafficking, starting from the pushers up to the drug suppliers. In order not to be discovered, - it emerged - the subjects, during the intercepted telephone conversations, always used cryptic language, without ever mentioning the real subject of their conversations. Among those arrested are also three women: Giovanna Liguori, resident in Battipaglia and the Salerno women Teodora Pace and Silvia Pappalardo.
During the investigations, 7 people were arrested in flagrante delicto pursuant to art. 73 DPR 309/90 with the simultaneous seizure of various types of narcotic substances:
on 3.07.2019, PENNASILICO Giuseppe was arrested, found in possession of 35,51 grams of heroin, no. 5 cal. 38 bullets and the sum of €4.000,00;
on 11.08.2019, MERCADANTE Francesco was arrested, found in possession of 98,47 grams of cocaine, 6,99 grams of heroin and 3,98 grams of hashish;
on 11.10.2019/339,262/2 CAFARO Francesco was arrested, found in possession of 6,35 grams of heroin, 58 clandestine pistols cal. XNUMX, no. XNUMX bullets of the same caliber;
on 7.11.2019/520,32/106,38, ESPOSITO Antonio and SALZANO Fabio were arrested in flagrante delicto. Following the personal search of ESPOSITO, 10,76 grams of cocaine were found, while in SALZANO's home, with the help of canine units, a further 5.000,00 grams of cocaine and XNUMX grams of marijuana were found, packaging tools and the total sum of €XNUMX;
on 19.11.2019/500,00/10, SCOTTO DI PORTA Raffaele and PACE Teodora were arrested. In the aforementioned residence, 1.720,00 grams of Cocaine, XNUMX grams of Marijuana, a precision scale and the sum of €XNUMX were found.
During the intercepted telephone conversations, the members of the gang always used cryptic language and previously agreed upon forms of implicit communication to avoid making explicit the real object of their conversations.
The combination of the elements collected allowed to consider for all the suspects the serious circumstantial platform as described by the PM in the precautionary request, allowing the GIP at the Court of Salerno to issue the precautionary measure against:
