The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples has seized 500 tons of special waste stored without any authorization inside the port.
The financiers of the II Group, in the context of specific risk analysis and territorial observation activities, identified an area of approximately 500 square meters in the Neapolitan port area where tons of special waste were piled up, some of which could be classified as "hazardous".
The illegal storage site in the port of Naples was located in the broader context of the state concession of a company managed by a 68-year-old from Pozzuoli.
The Guardia di Finanza found, among other things, five containers containing special and non-special waste (ferrous and wooden materials, still full paint cans), a concrete mixer, a mobile lifting crane, two vehicles and numerous truck engines.
Inside the containers and trucks were stored used tires, ferrous materials, tiles and various types of processing waste.
At the end, the entire area was seized and the person responsible was reported to the Judicial Authority for waste management, storage and warehousing activities without the required authorizations.
