From February 26th, “Epidermide” (Blackcandy Produzioni), the new song by Serena Altavilla that previews her new album, will be available on radio rotation and on all streaming platforms.
explains Serena Altavilla about the song: «Through the epidermis we enter into resonance. The epidermis is a faithful instrument of instinct, a gateway to the abysses that inhabit us. This song is a dialogue with strong, deafening tones, a slow-motion brawl with myself and with the other».

Director Patrizio Gioffredi, co-author of the lyrics, wanted to indulge the dark and romantic veins of the song, with a timeless video clip, set on a minimal theater set, with iridescent and expressionist lights and an editing that plays with the darkness. On the stage Serena interacts with a doppelgänger, to which the actress and director Livia Gionfrida lends her body, in a slow and sensual ghostly dance, enriched by the cinephile echoes typical of the John Snellinberg Collective.
From 2005 to today Serena Altavilla, singer and songwriter, made her name in the independent alt-rock scene as the frontwoman of Blue Willa – produced by Carla Bozulich, previously known as Baby Blue – and later of Solki. With both bands she has released several albums and has played many live dates, both in Italy and abroad. Her background coexists with punk, popular tradition and avant-garde music. Her eclecticism, her performing skills honed during parallel theatrical experiences and her vocal versatility have led her to collaborate over the years, in the studio and live, with Calibro 35, Mariposa, La Band del Brasiliano, Tundra Orbit and Il Complesso di Tadà, among others. Now she is starting her solo career inaugurated by the song “Epidermide” (Blackcandy Produzioni) available digitally and on the radio from February 26. The song anticipates the album to be released in April 2021.
