Vaccines, ASL Napoli 1 warns the elderly: 'Beware of scam calls. Our contacts for vaccinations via SMS, maximum caution'
Some citizens of Naples are receiving phone calls about the vaccination campaign for the elderly who are unable to walk, which could be a scam.
The alarm is being raised by ASL Napoli 1 Centro. In the last few hours, some users of ASL Napoli 1 Centro are reporting receiving phone calls regarding home vaccination for citizens unable to walk. In some cases, these phone calls announce a visit by alleged doctors to the patient's home - as stated in a note from ASL - ASL Napoli 1 Centro, through its general manager Ciro Verdoliva, emphasizes that at the moment no office of the Company is making these phone calls, which must therefore be considered false and potentially also aimed at possible scams against people over 80. "ASL Napoli 1 Centro - explains Verdoliva - will contact the elderly who have booked for vaccination at their address of residence or domicile only with an SMS sent to the cell phones registered on the platform".
The invitation is therefore to be extremely cautious in case of suspicious phone calls. The strategic management of ASL Napoli 1 Centro also reiterates that only eligible users, registered on the platform and summoned via SMS, can access the vaccination points.
