There seems to be a bright spot for the future of redundant workers after the purchase of Auchan stores in Italy by the Italian Gdo giant Conad. To their rescue, assures the Ugl union, a large Italian clothing distribution group will come.
Agreement practically done, in this regard, with Oviesse for the stores in Mugnano, Giugliano in Campania and Pompei. Furthermore, for the same stores, the union assures, negotiations have begun for a world-famous brand that deals with the retail sale of sports equipment or a large distribution chain of electronic products.
A complex agreement that in recent days has seen companies, unions and political representatives as protagonists. But after months of negotiations it seems that a solution has been found.
"We will be attentive to all the steps to protect employment levels but at the same time we will seek dialogue to guarantee the future and continuity of these new businesses and the relationship with workers" stated the secretary Gaetano Panic of Ugl to the information site ilSud24.it.
