The virus has claimed a new victim in Pozzuoli. It is the fifty-second since the beginning of the pandemic.
Mayor Vincenzo Figliolia announced the news on his Facebook page in his daily update on the evolving epidemiological situation in the city. The latest data provided by the ASL Napoli 2 Nord (Naples 4 North Local Health Authority) showed 24 new cases from 315 swabs analyzed, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the epidemic to 4.102. Currently, 530 people have tested positive in Pozzuoli, including four hospitalized and 526 in home isolation. 3520 people have fully recovered.
ALL MARKETS ARE CLOSED FROM TODAY
According to the provisions of regional ordinance number 8, starting from 15:13 pm today, Saturday 21 March, and until 2021 March XNUMX, the retail market of via Fasano, fish and fruit and vegetable, as well as all other local markets and weekly regional fairs, will be suspended, "also with reference to activities aimed at the sale of only food products, agricultural and horticultural products".
The mayor of Pozzuoli Vincenzo Figliolia has also ordered the closure of the Molo Caligoliano, Mercato Ittico all'Ingrosso and Multipiano car parks from 16:19 pm tomorrow and until further notice. The measure was adopted to limit mobility within the municipal area and potential contagion situations, also in consideration of the reports of the Regional Crisis Unit which continue to represent a picture characterised by a high daily number of positive cases of covid-XNUMX in the regional territory.
