Elderly Man Beaten to Death While Waiting for Wife Outside Church, Attacker Arrested

Theano. A 47-year-old from Teano, Benedetto Montaquila, was arrested by police officers on charges of killing a 76-year-old pensioner, Alessandro Gallinaro, who died in the hospital in Latina after an attack he suffered last Sunday for trivial reasons.

The elder he was beaten by the man while he was waiting for his wife to leave mass in the church of Santo Stefano. It was the attacker himself, after having beaten the man, who called the police, claiming that he had intervened because the old man had undressed in front of some girls.
This version was immediately denied by the police who arrested the 47-year-old who had been under house arrest for two days. With the death of the victim, the attacker is now accused of manslaughter.
