Since March 2021, the ARI - Italian Radio Amateurs Association - Section of Ischia has installed and put into operation a Weather Station on the heights of Mount Epomeo.

The growing general interest in Meteorology, dictated by scientific reasons and, above all, by environmental factors, has pushed us to offer a service that, we hope, can be useful to monitor and record data and events that will gradually develop on the peaks of our beloved mountain relief.
The station in use is a Davis Vantage Vue, located on the top of one of the pylons in the area, approximately 20 metres above ground and almost 700 metres above sea level, where the repeater antennas are located, which ensure coverage for various types of services, both amateur and civil protection, professional, military and more.
All this in the spirit of maximum cooperation and sharing that has always distinguished our actions, as well as in full compliance with the most accurate specifications required by current legislation, with the intent of adding a strategic option to the alternatives already present on the Green Island and aimed at covering the weather conditions of its beautiful territory and the surrounding maritime and terrestrial area.

In the coming months, a webcam will also be connected to the facility in question, to capture some of the sublime panoramas with which Nature has decided to adorn our lands.
Not to mention the many possibilities of using it in the Amateur Radio field.
La ARI Section of Ischia was born in the seventies, with the intention of bringing together enthusiasts and spreading activities connected to a wonderful world of technique and passion, an inexhaustible source of curiosity and continuous discovery.
The Italian Radio Amateurs Association, chaired since its inception by the historic figure of Guglielmo Marconi and erected as a Moral Entity by Decree of the then President of the Republic Luigi Einaudi in 1950, compatibly with the complicated times we are living in, has several events on its agenda that will have the task of trying to spread the values and charm of its peculiarities, especially towards the youngest.
