Naples municipal police employees almost en masse deserted yesterday afternoon's call to the Stazione Marittina vaccination center to receive the first doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

This is what emerges from the report by the ASL Napoli 1. There was a clear drop from the first day to the second day of resuming vaccinations. From the data of the ASL Napoli 1 it emerges that 840 citizens of the school and university staff had been summoned to the Maritime Station in the morning, but only 339 showed up, 40,36%, while those absent were 501. Yesterday, on the first day, 64,61% of those summoned showed up. Those present were administered 312 doses of AstraZeneca and 27 of Pfizer for those who had pathologies incompatible with AstraZeneca.

In the afternoon, again at the Maritime Station vaccination hub, it was the turn of the police and firefighters: 264 had been summoned, 138 showed up (52,27%) who had 115 doses of AstraZeneca and 23 of Pfizer, for pathologies incompatible with the other vaccine. The absentees in this category were therefore 126, with a sharp drop compared to yesterday when 76,52% of those summoned among the police showed up. In this group, the majority of absentees are among the personnel belonging to the Municipal Police force.

Meanwhile, vaccination of the elderly and frail continues at the Mostra d'Oltremare with Pfizer. Of the 135 over 80s called for the second doses, 131 showed up (97,04%) while of the 823 frail people for the first dose, 743 showed up (90,28%).
