Heat in Italy, the bulletin: tomorrow yellow alert in Naples

by Federica Annunziata June 19, 2025 - 12:05 pm 12:05

ROME – After days of oppressive heat, Italy is getting ready to breathe a little. According to the latest bulletin on heat waves released by the Ministry of Health, Saturday will mark a slight respite with the alert level dropping in much of the country. Only ten cities will remain under observation with the yellow dot, a warning that indicates weather conditions that, while not representing an immediate danger to health, may require attention especially for the most vulnerable segments of the population.

Tomorrow, however, a new peak of heat is expected with the orange warning for three urban centers: Rome, Bolzano and Brescia. This is a level 2 alert that signals conditions at risk for health, especially for the elderly, children and people with chronic diseases. However, the situation should improve in the following 48 hours, with the return of a less oppressive climate over a good part of the peninsula.
