He was killed by punches, finished by running over him, and only for revenge. Because Salvatore De Magistris was the stepfather of a man who had gone over to the opposing clan.
He had nothing to do with the Camorra, but the Di Lauro clan wanted to punish their stepson for joining the secessionists. For this reason, he was beaten almost bare-handed, almost to the point of death. He was a victim of organized crime in 2004, dying in a gruesome manner in a "clan war" at the age of 60. The hitmen, according to the investigations of the prosecutor's office of Naples, were Nunzio Di Lauro and Antonio Mennetta, and on the orders of the then fugitive Marco Di Lauro, during the feud with the secessionists for the control of the drug dealing areas.
KILLED WITH BARE HANDS BY NUNZIO DI LAURO AND ANTONIO MENNETTA
Mennetta and Nunzio Di Lauro must answer for voluntary homicide with direct intent, with the aggravating circumstance of torture and for having committed the crime to favor a Camorra association, while the investigating judge charges Marco Di Lauro with voluntary homicide with intent, but with anomalous complicity, because despite not having ordered the murder, he could have foreseen that the outcome of the punitive expedition he had ordered could be fatal. The investigations were reopened also thanks to the contribution of the repentant Salvatore Tamburrino, a trusted man of the boss Marco di Lauro, a collaborator of justice after being arrested for the killing of his wife, an occasion on which he also had the fugitive clan leader arrested.
PUNISH BIAGIO ESPOSITO'S BETRAYAL
The sole objective of that mission was to punish the betrayal of Biagio Esposito, who had joined the secessionists and then become a collaborator of justice. In the courtyard of a house in Secondigliano, Nunzio Di Lauro and Antonio Mennetta beat the sixty-year-old until he was on the brink of death. Then, riding a Honda Transalp, as they were leaving, they ran over his skull with a wheel of the motorbike. The man remained in agony for a month and died in hospital on November 29, 2004.
