The Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company – as part of services arranged by the provincial command of Naples – patrolled the streets of Ercolano and Greek's tower.
The military of the force together with those of the Campania regiment and the Carabinieri of the Sarno dog unit have carried out several searches in search of weapons and drugs. Maximum commitment also for the verification of compliance with the anti-contagion rules to limit the spread of Covid 19.
51 people were identified - 19 of them with criminal records - and 27 vehicles were checked. 3 arrests, 1 report at large and 11 sanctions for violations of anti-covid-19 regulations.
During the operations - which saw the Carabinieri on the front lines in the fight against widespread illegality - Vincenzo Dentale, a 49-year-old from Ercolano already known to the police, ended up in handcuffs for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. The military searched his home and there found and seized 1 block of marijuana and 1 of hashish for a total weight of almost 200 grams. The man was arrested and is now awaiting trial.
The Carabinieri also arrested Danilo Leone, a 35-year-old from Torre del Greco who was already known to the police. The man – pursuant to a provision issued by the Nola court – will have to serve 1 year and 4 months under house arrest for the crime of receiving stolen goods.
In Ercolano the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco radiomobile section arrested Vincenzo Verriotto, a 39-year-old local already known to the police, for improper robbery. The Carabinieri – alerted by 112 – began searching for a van that had just been stolen. The legitimate owner called the Carabinieri: his van had been stolen on Via Nazionale in Torre del Greco. The operations center immediately launched a search.
A patrol car spotted the vehicle on via benedetto cozzolino in Ercolano. A chase ensued. upon seeing the patrol, the man fled. after lightly bumping into a car to make way for him, in an attempt to reverse, he collided with the side of the van on an electric pole on via gramsci. he fled on foot, in an attempt to escape the soldiers who were chasing him, after a hundred meters he climbed over a low fence, falling into the ditch of private land, only to be caught up with and finally blocked and arrested. Verriotto, fractured his wrist in the fall. He will be out for 14 days. The 39-year-old is awaiting trial.
The military, engaged in long-range service, reported at large for cultivation of narcotic substances a 67-year-old from Torre del Greco. The Carabinieri searched his home. The man was found in possession of a marijuana plant and all the necessary equipment for cultivation.

MADDALONI – They threatened a peer with a knife and stole his wallet, smartphone, and electric bicycle. The two minors involved in the incident were both reported to the Juvenile Court for conspiracy to commit robbery after the intervention of the Carabinieri of the local station.
The incident occurred yesterday afternoon, around 16.30pm, near a bar in via Forche Caudine, in Maddaloni, in the province of Caserta. According to the military's reconstruction, the victim, a 14-year-old boy who was with a friend, was approached by two peers. After threatening him with a knife, the two men took his personal belongings and then quickly fled.
