Two earthquakes were recorded by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology on the eastern coast of Sicily, in the province of Messina.
The strongest, of magnitude 3.0 at 05.43 and the second, of magnitude 2.1 at 05.34. The event was located at a depth of 8 kilometers at a depth of 86 km of Messina. No damage to property or people was recorded.
