The heart of Elio Sorvillo, a 68-year-old pilot who, while piloting his two-seater ultralight aircraft, crashed on Saturday 27 February into a rugged area of Monte Maggiore between Pontelatone and Bellona, stopped beating during the night between Thursday and Friday.
Following the plane crash that killed passenger Rosa Sapio, a 50-year-old from Marigliano, the builder and pilot from Sparanise was rushed to the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano hospital in Caserta.
He had undergone a cardiovascular operation and one to intervene on his seriously compromised lower limbs. His conditions worsened during the night and after a second emergency vascular surgery, Elio Sorvillo's heart stopped beating. A hope interrupted by pain for the community of Sparanise.
