It would be a resounding defeat for all of civil society, for those who have fought and continue to fight every day against organised crime, for those who have paid with their lives for their commitment against the mafia, like judges Falcone and Borsellino." This was stated by MEP Isabella M5S Adinolfi, on the issue of life imprisonment for mafiosi on which the Constitutional Court will rule after Easter.

"Rewarding mafiosi, those who have always turned their backs on the state, would mean unconditional surrender," concludes the Salerno MP. "It would represent a serious step backward and would also undermine the efforts made in recent years, thanks to the commitment of schools and associations, which have helped foster greater awareness of the culture of legality and the fight against the mafia."
