The Carabinieri of the Varcaturo Station arrested two 56-year-old Cuban women with no criminal record, both residents of Giugliano, for aggravated theft.
The owner of a home goods store on Via Domitiana alerted the police, reporting a theft. The women were stopped outside the store and then searched: a stolen hair straightener had been hidden inside a bag.
Recognition and search
The victim of the theft later recognized the two women as responsible for another theft, committed last March 3. In their homes, during a search, the military found two more hair straighteners of the same type.
The arrested women were placed under house arrest pending trial.
