Ischia: Anti-gathering checks and one reported for drugs
On Thursday evening and yesterday, officers from the Ischia Police Station, with the support of the General Prevention Office's Anti-Drug Canine Unit, carried out operations aimed at enforcing anti-Covid-19 regulations in the municipalities of Ischia and Casamicciola Terme.
During the operation, 45 people were identified, 15 of whom had previous police records, 25 vehicles were checked and 2 violations of the Highway Code were reported for overtaking prohibition and for violation of road signs.
Furthermore, the police carried out a check in via Nuova dei Conti in Ischia at the home of a man where, thanks to the nose of the dog Kira, they found, hidden in a small box stored in a drawer in the bedroom, a piece of hashish of approximately 8 grams and a knife 29 cm long.
A 24-year-old from Ischia was reported for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
