And it will do so through Soresa, a company of the Campania Region that plays the role of central purchasing body for products intended for companies in the regional health system, which has entrusted the economic operator Human vaccines, represented by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), the supply of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine. The contract and the subsequent supply are subject to the approval of Ema e AIFA to the Russian vaccine. The management decision was signed two days ago by the Secretary of the Campania Regional Council and acting General Director of Soresa spa, Michael Ferrara, and closes a procedure that began on March 2, when the Campania Regional Council delegated to Soresa "all implementing tasks" for "verifying the possibility of acquiring additional vaccine doses on the market compared to those available for the Campania regional territory".

Soresa verified the availability of pharmaceutical companies that have produced vaccines for the immunization of Sars-Cov-2 "already authorized or in the process of authorization by the EMA and AIFA and already being administered in Italy or in other European or non-European countries". In resorting to the competitive procedure with negotiation, it is further stated, Soresa "has conducted with the economic operator, in consideration of the peculiarity of the object of the potential assignment, its nature, the complexity of the operation and the associated risk, an intense activity of comparison and negotiation with respect to the initial offer, to obtain, in compliance with the legislation in force on the matter, advantageous conditions for the supply of the vaccine serum". The effectiveness of the contract remains however "suspensively conditional on the achievement of the authorizations by the regulatory bodies (Ema and Aifa)".
