The Campania Region has given the green light to vaccinations for journalists. It will start after those for school staff are completed.
“The Campania Region responded positively to the letter sent in January by the Campania Order of Journalists, giving the green light to join the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.” This was announced by the president of the Campania Order of Journalists, Ottavio Lucarelli.
“For our category, it will start “at the end of the vaccination of school staff and will take place in parallel with the activities that currently concern the over 80s” concludes Lucarelli. The region has therefore accepted the request to include journalists in the at-risk categories.
“Phase 2 of the ongoing vaccination campaign includes, among other things, the administration of vaccine doses to law enforcement and other workers involved in essential public services, including information workers, within the timeframes that will be allowed for the supply of doses. This phase of the vaccination campaign will begin upon completion of the vaccination of school staff and will take place in parallel with the activities currently involving the over-80s, which will be followed, as currently planned, by the 'fragile' subjects”.
As part of the Campania regional health information system (Sinfonia), the regional offices have created "a specific platform for the most effective management of information flows related to Covid diagnostics and the vaccination campaign, as well as the full integration of these flows at a national level". In order to organize the activities intended for members and staff of the Order, a contact person must be appointed "to be enabled to use the dedicated platform, so as to allow the uploading of the names of those who will join the vaccination campaign. The contact person will receive all necessary information and/or clarifications on the operating methods to be adopted.
