The Carabinieri of the Frattaminore station have arrested Domenico Garbato for attempted aggravated theft and reported him for unjustified possession of altered keys or lock picks: a 34-year-old from Cardito already known to the police
I police – engaged in one of the many night services aimed at combating widespread illegality – surprised the 34-year-old while he was on the street despite the limitations imposed by anti-contagion regulations. Searched, he was found in possession of a hammer of about 30 centimeters and two jacks. The material was seized. The military reported him and fined him for covid regulations.
A little later, the same military personnel ran into the 34-year-old again. He was on Via Massimo Stanzione while trying to steal a muffler - a component that contains precious materials such as palladium - from a parked car. The Carabinieri stopped him and arrested him.
Garbato was placed under house arrest pending trial.
