The Ministry of Health gives the green light to the single dose of vaccine for those who have had Covid at least three months after the infection and within six months
The Ministry of Health has published an ordinance confirming that people who have been infected with Covid-19 can receive only one dose of the vaccine.
“It is possible to consider the administration of a single dose of the anti-SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 vaccine in subjects with previous SARS-CoV-2 infection (symptomatic or asymptomatic) - the document states - provided that the vaccination is carried out at least 3 months after the documented infection and preferably within 6 months of the same.
This is not to be understood as applicable to subjects who present conditions of immunodeficiency, primary or secondary to pharmacological treatments. In these subjects, since the immunological protection conferred by the SARS-CoV-2 infection and its duration cannot be predicted, it is recommended to continue with the proposed vaccination schedule (double dose for the three vaccines currently available)”.
