Enrico Vaime dies at 85

Enrico Vaime died today at the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome. Considered one of the greatest radio and television authors, he was 85 years old.

Born in Perugia on January 19, 1936, Vaime, from 1960 to Rai where he entered as a competition winner, he signed about 200 TV programs, including the variety shows Quelli della domenica (1968), Canzonissima '68 and '69, Fantastico '88 and, with Maurizio Costanzo, Memorie dal bianco e nero (Rai Uno); the fiction Un figlio a meta', Italian Restaurant, Mio figlio ha 70 anni.

His last experience on TV was with Costanzo, S'e' fatta notte, from 2012 to 2016. Among his musical comedies: Felicibumta, Even Bank Employees Have a Soul, Life Begins Every Morning and many others. On the radio he collaborated on hundreds of programs and for decades hosted Black Out, on Radio2 on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
