Naples, Anm puts up for sale the historic trams of the 30s. Borrelli: “Lack of planning and broader visions. With the historic heritage, museum and tourism projects can be created.”

Anm is selling 11 historic trams from the 30s that circulated in Naples before the Second World War. As Fanpage reveals, four trams will be sold to be reused, but without the Anm logo, with a starting price of 3.780 euros each, while seven others are on sale for scrapping, because they are out of use, starting from 2.800 euros each.

The comment of Borrelli, Regional Councillor of Europa Verde

“It is a choice that we totally disagree with. Instead of following the example of the big European cities and giving life to museum and tourism projects, because it is precisely from tourism that we will have to start again when the covid emergency is behind us, that give value to the historical heritage, such as that represented by these vehicles from the 30s, we always opt for the most superficial solutions. It is clear that there is a strong lack of planning and broader visions. We are preparing a proposal to send to the Municipality and ANM so that they reflect on the decision to put the historic trams up for sale.”
