Naples: Carabinieri arrest 4 thieves in the act. They are all foreigners

4 people arrested by Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples, the result of an evident strengthening of the territorial control services.

Two people arrested for receiving stolen goods and resisting a public official in Piazza Garibaldi. Both foreigners are 24 and 40 years old and were surprised by the soldiers of the Nucleo Radiomobile of Naples riding a stolen motorcycle in the afternoon along the Riviera di Chiaia. They tried to escape but the carabinieri blocked their path. They ended up in handcuffs and are now in prison awaiting the hearing to validate the arrest.

A 33-year-old Ukrainian already known to the police will have to answer for attempted aggravated theft. He was also arrested by the soldiers of the Neapolitan radiomobile unit, he was in the parking lot in front of the Ospedale del Mare in Ponticelli and was removing the catalytic converter from the muffler of a car. To do so he was using a grinder. When he was stopped he confessed: "I was doing the service!", unfortunately it was already late in the evening and the owner of the car did not know. He is now in the holding cell awaiting trial.

Another foreigner was arrested in Via Brindisi, in the Vasto neighborhood. Of Moroccan origin, the 34-year-old had just stolen a car by dismantling the glass of one of the doors. From a wallet kept in the vehicle he had also stolen a little more than 8 euros in change. He is also awaiting trial and will answer for aggravated theft.
