Naples. This morning an officer of the General Prevention Office, off duty, passing through vico Santa Maria la Fede noticed two people riding two scooters with bags on the footboards of the vehicles.
The two, after having pulled up alongside a man in a parked car, placed the bags in the trunk of the vehicle. The policeman, suspicious, after identifying himself, ordered the three to stop and blocked the man in the car while the two motorcyclists managed to escape.
The operator found in the bags 125 cartons of foreign manufactured tobacco without the State Monopoly mark, for a total weight of 25 kg.
ABC, a 60-year-old from Salerno with a criminal record, was reported for smuggling foreign manufactured tobacco.
