Naples, casatielli as Easter gifts to homeless people and poor families
Theirs is a well-established collaboration. Pizza chef Errico Porzio and the Angeli di Strada Villanova, the non-profit association that has been delivering meals and basic necessities to the homeless for years, periodically distribute pizzas to the homeless and others. And also for Easter Porzio has renewed his commitment. This time, however, he will produce 500 casatiello, the traditional savory pie from Campania, defined as 'popular' because they are sold at a reasonable price, 12 euros.
The funds raised will be donated to the Angeli di Strada of Villanova, an association founded and coordinated by Marcello Ciucci and Marika Cafiero. Then, between Thursday, April 3st and Saturday, April 100rd, 3.000 casatielli, equal to XNUMX portions, will be entrusted to the Angeli di Strada who, in collaboration with Caritas, will distribute them among the homeless and families who, due to the emergency caused by Covid, are in financial difficulty.
The chosen area of Naples will be Fuorigrotta, near Piazzale Tecchio. To support the pizza chef, contributing raw materials to the initiative, Mulino Caputo, Emme prodotti tipici and Cerrone.
