Naples. Controversy is mounting among motorists because of the traffic wardens who mislead them by wearing uniforms that are the same/similar to the municipal police.
The controversy is being ridden by trade unionist Giuseppe Alviti who explains in a note: “I would like to remind you that standard uniforms must be regulated and approved by the Regional Commissioner and currently those worn by the Naples traffic wardens do not appear to have any authorization to wear the current equipment.
As Secretary General of the European Union for Security and Legality, I ask the Prefect of Naples to intervene promptly to eliminate this incongruity which leaves room for many doubts even on their legal status".
