Alviti remembers him like this: “A man of rare human and advanced professional virtues who, in his work as in life, gave his all for the collective good. In my closeness to the family that I have known since childhood, my closest feeling of consternation and Christian love comes in the certainty that Salvatore also protects us from up there as he did in his earthly life.
