Naples, Carabinieri seize 60 kilos of cigarettes: 51-year-old arrested
I Carabinieri of the Naples Radiomobile Unit arrested Bruno Vivo, a 51-year-old from Casoria already known to the police, for cigarette smuggling.
He was caught in Vico Primo delle Pergole while carrying a large cardboard box. When he noticed the patrol, he abandoned it and fled, taking refuge in a building at number 21.
The soldiers chased him and stopped him. In the entrance hall of the building and in a basement they found 5 other identical packages which, added to the one left shortly before, contained a total of 300 cartons of cigarettes.
Vivo is now in court, awaiting trial.
