Taxi drivers return to the square in Naples and burn their licenses, in photocopies, in front of the headquarters of the Campania Region
. The taxi drivers' demonstration took place this morning with a picket in via Santa Lucia, in front of the headquarters of the Region, after about two weeks of protests with taxi processions in the city center. "The answers we are getting - explains Alessandro Zingone, taxi driver - are not the ones we would like to hear, we are asking for a subsidy from the region, something that up to now does not seem to have been approved. The taxi drivers are on their knees and today we are demonstrating our dissent by burning licenses".

Around one hundred taxi drivers shouted chants against governor De Luca in front of the headquarters of theregional body. "We don't work anymore, we can't even put gas in our cars, because the earnings are zero, really. We are a category that has been on its knees for a year, since the beginning of the pandemic little or nothing has arrived, the compensations are slow to arrive, but now we need the institutions to listen to us, we really need a subsidy".
