The new vaccination center at the Stazione Marittima in Naples was inaugurated this morning.
This is the second vaccination hub opened by the Naples Local Health Authority (ASL) 1. The first weekend dedicated to the AstraZeneca vaccine was split in half by health authorities: this morning, 400 citizens from schools and universities were called in, while this afternoon, 400 members of the police force and firefighters were called in. All ten vaccination stations are active, with the necessary medical and nursing staff, while residents queued outside in the tent set up in front of the entrance to the center. Maritime Station then go up to the first floor where the vaccination center is.

Vaccinations are also underway at the Mostra d'Oltremare where today the Pfizer doses for the categories of the frail and disabled have left, with them also the second doses of the over-eighties: in total, those called up today at the Mostra are a thousand. A serious and negligent underestimation of a patient's cardiac status has cost the ASL Napoli 1 Centro a fine of approximately €600. The court ruled, finding medical liability for the death of a man admitted to a well-known Neapolitan hospital and ordering compensation for his wife and son.
The case stems from the patient's admission to the emergency room after an accidental fall at home, which resulted in a bone injury. The man suffered from serious chronic heart disease, which had long been stabilized and managed with appropriate therapies, allowing him to return to clinical equilibrium. Despite this well-known condition, healthcare providers focused exclusively on orthopedic issues, unjustifiably neglecting his cardiac condition.
