The woman, Ornella Pinto, 40, was admitted to Cardarelli Hospital in very serious condition, where she underwent delicate surgery. Despite the doctors' efforts, her heart stopped beating. The man, Pinotto Iacomino, 43, fled and turned himself in to the Carabinieri station in Montegabbione, in the province of Terni.
