Naples, they rob an electric bicycle and while fleeing they run over a policeman. Arrested

Yesterday morning the agents of the General Prevention Office, during the territorial control service, following a report from the Operations Centre, intervened in via Foria corner of Via Miracoli for a robbery.

The officers, arriving on the scene, were approached by a person who said he had been threatened and robbed of his bike electric by three men, two of them armed with knives, on board a scooter.
The police, thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim, intercepted the motor vehicle which was traveling in the wrong direction via Federico Delfino where the robbers, upon seeing them, accelerated and carried out dangerous manoeuvres.

The result was a long chase during which the three took via Foria and then arrived in via Duomo where, having seen the road blocked by a patrol from the Vicaria-Mercato police station, they mounted the vehicles on the pavement and the driver of the scooter did not he hesitated to hit one of the policemen, who got out of the car to prevent their escape, throwing him to the ground and losing control of the scooter. After the collision, the driver and his accomplices attempted to escape again but, after a struggle, they were blocked.

Giuseppe Massaro and CT, aged 20 and 15 with police records, and MG, aged 19, all Neapolitans, were arrested for multi-aggravated robbery, resistance and injury to a public official; furthermore, Massaro, driver of the scooter, was also arrested for attempted murder.
Finally, the vehicle they were traveling in was seized as it did not have insurance coverage.
