The work of removing murals and shrines dedicated to criminal figures continues.
This morning, theMunicipal administration, assisted by the police, has removed two illegal artefacts: a marble plaque made on a municipal wall in via del Marzano, in Posillipo, dedicated to Giuseppe Grieco, a criminal killed in a firefight with the police, and a 'small altar' installed in Piazzetta Salvatore Trinchese, an area of archaeological interest, in the Pendino district, dedicated to the criminal Raffaele Ivone.

The program of interventions, launched following an operation agreed upon by a special technical table, in compliance with the results of the Committee for Public Order and Safety of the Metropolitan Area of March 4, will continue in the coming days and weeks, with the aim of restoring - the prefecture explains - respect for the law with the progressive removal of artifacts or other symbols that illegally insist on the public road, without prejudice to the possible existence of specific crimes.
