The urgent provisions regarding the citizen's income provide for the suspension of income—with a judge's order—for the beneficiary or applicant subject to a precautionary measure. This applies even after the arrest or detention has been validated.
The Law also provides for mechanisms for re-determination of the amounts of the citizen's income to be paid by the beneficiary if - within his family unit - there is a person subject to precautionary measures.

For this reason, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Naples has ordered all the Commands and Departments of the entire province of Naples to carry out economic checks on the people subjected to pre-cautionary measures (those arrested and detained).
The check was carried out to verify whether there were people affected by pre-cautionary measures who improperly benefited from the citizen's income.
The Carabinieri of the Neapolitan Labor Inspectorate – following a report from the Provincial Command of Naples – examined the economic “positions” of 307 people subjected to pre-cautionary measures. Of these, 146 have illegally benefited from the citizen’s income for a percentage equal to almost 50 percent.
This monitoring concerns only the month of February. From the ongoing investigations relating to the month of March the trend seems to be similar.
The Carabinieri reported the cases analyzed for the interruption of the benefit to the Judicial Authority. The largest number of reports is located in the Neapolitan neighborhood of Scampia. Followed by Torre Annunziata and the Secondigliano neighborhood of Naples.
