An extraordinary inter-force control operation against the illegal disposal and burning of industrial, artisanal and commercial waste was carried out yesterday in the Marano di Napoli area.
The activity is part of the "second level" actions (i.e. carried out by joint patrols of the Army and the municipal or metropolitan police forces) which are added to the weekly action days, according to the schedule defined by the Person in Charge of combating the phenomenon of fires in the Campania region within the "Terra dei Fuochi" control room, always with the coordination of the Prefectures of Naples and Caserta.
Four crews (for a total of 10 inter-force units) went into action in the locations and sites where waste is usually abandoned and then disposed of illegally on the territory, checking a business and commercial activity, three people identified, one of whom was reported. An area of 300 meters was also seized.
