Soresa search: the Covid center race in the investigators' sights

The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office is accelerating its investigations into the history of the purchase and construction of modular hospitals in Naples (Ospedale del Mare in Ponticelli), Caserta, and Salerno.

Seven months after the midsummer blitz, the Carabinieri are back in action on the upper floors of Soresa, with an all too clear objective: to verify the management of the tenders, with which - last spring - the contract was awarded to a company from Padua, for the construction of modular hospitals in the fight against the spread of the virus.

An investigative step that did not go unnoticed, in an attempt to focus on one point in particular: a step in the administrative process that guaranteed Med of Padua a direct negotiation contract (given the emergency conditions); but also a possible mediation carried out by a private consultant, who would have played a pivotal role between the tender commission and the final recipient of the order.

But let's proceed in order, starting from what happened on Monday morning at the Centro Direzionale: it was the Carabinieri of the provincial command who knocked on the doors of Soresa, to serve a search warrant, during an investigation into bid-rigging.
