The “ChiAMACaivano” service continues, the friendly line against Coronavirus isolation
The free service of listening and psychological support, assistance and timely help called continues successfully CallCaivano.
Born about two months ago to deal with the effects deriving from the Coronavirus health emergency, the service activated by the Municipality of Caivano and created by Gesco through the Social Operations Centre is aimed at all the inhabitants of the Caivano area, who up to now have shown that they greatly appreciate the initiative.
Divided into a helpline, a mobile helpline and a tele-assistance service, ChiAMACaivano is aimed in particular at citizens in fragile situations, such as lonely elderly people, people with disabilities, people in isolation for health reasons ascribed to the pandemic emergency.
It can be requested by calling the toll-free number 800 904835 from 8 am to 20 pm: every day specialized telephone operators - social reception and listening technicians - accept the request, identify the user's needs, provide the appropriate information and set any appointments in person with one of the service's psychologists.
ChiAMACaivano also provides a mobile listening desk active from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 13 pm and on Monday and Thursday from 15 pm to 17 pm at the Caivano Municipal Library or at home, upon reservation by calling the toll-free number.
The service uses two expert psychologists, who are able to support the user in managing and overcoming critical moments and in dealing with emergency situations that leave him confused and stressed due to the Coronavirus emergency.
Finally, through the toll-free number it is possible to request Teleassistance for lonely elderly people, sick people and people with disabilities, which allows for the activation of urgent first aid in case of need.

The Italian textile and fashion industry has been navigating difficult waters for years. The market's structural crisis, characterized by plummeting sales volumes, pressure from Asian competition, and reduced household purchasing power, has forced many companies to radically rethink their business models to survive. A day of strike action and demonstrations took place today in front of the Harmont & Blaine plant in Caivano, where workers are protesting the announcement of 32 layoffs out of a total workforce of 129. The protest was called by the sector unions Filctem-Cgil and Femca-Cisl, who described it as a sudden decision, lacking any prior consultation.
"We called this strike because we find the layoffs announced by the company unacceptable," says Andrea Pastore of the regional secretariat of Filctem Campania. "We consider it abnormal that a decision of this magnitude could be made overnight, without any consultation with the unions. A company with an international media profile cannot be so superficial in the presence of 32 workers, who represent 25% of the workforce. This is an unacceptable attempt to reduce labor costs. We demand the immediate withdrawal of the layoffs."
