1)Hi Francesco, “La Mattonella Discount” is a very important company in the area. Can you tell us the story of your store?
Mattonella Discount is a bathroom furnishing products distributor located in Scafati (in the province of Salerno) since 2015. As you can understand, it is a very young company that is trying to make space for itself on the furnishing market with its corporate philosophy: to offer a wide range of products adaptable to every taste and need of customers, especially economic. Despite not having a historic centenary, Mattonella Discount has several strong points. The first one I would like to mention is the sales staff; before becoming traders, our team has many years of experience behind them having covered the role of representatives for the best Made In Italy brands in the furnishing sector. This makes it clear how Mattonella Discount can offer high quality advice from our sales staff, who know the habits and tastes of the people of Campania and beyond. Another very important feature is the immediate availability of the products; the customer chooses, buys and collects without days of waiting. Of course, there are exceptions, if our customer requests a product that is not available, thanks to the good relationship we have with our suppliers, the same can arrive at our store within 10 working days, in excellent condition. 2)What do you mainly do within the company?
I have held various roles within the company. In the early years I was a warehouse assistant and this gave me the opportunity to understand how to take care of the material coming from suppliers and what the different techniques are for doing so. Together with the head warehouseman I learned the procedures for loading and unloading goods, both for customers and suppliers, but that's not all. I wanted to increase my skills and, while I was learning the various office tasks, I started with simple orders for customers, in order to understand how the program worked. Today I hold the role of all-round secretary and, together with a small team, we are also taking care of corporate communication, both online and offline. In fact, the Facebook page, the Telegram channel and the Google tab are constantly updated. Soon there will also be a complete restyling of our website.
3)What inspired you to undertake this job?
The desire to learn and to realize what I have studied in my studies. This also makes you understand a lot about the mentality of Mattonella Discount, which seeks the right mix between youth and experience.
4) Let's now talk specifically about an interesting product that can be found in your store: Vietri-style flooring. Can you describe it specifically? Where is this flooring used the most? What are the main characteristics of Vietri-style tiles?

It is a product of Savoia Ceramica, a Made In Italy company and one of our main suppliers. It is a very sought-after type of tile, especially in the renovation of seaside homes, as it takes on the colors of our Amalfi coast. So, we are talking about colors like blue, white and light blue. Mattonella Discount has focused a lot on this type of product, also to highlight the tastes of Campania and summarize the beauty of the region through the Vietri style. They are sold in coordinated, the larger sizes are used as floors and then there is the covering, which can be mosaic or a single tile, as if it were a complete dress for the house. There have been customers who have decorated an entire apartment like this, others who instead wanted to renovate only the bathroom area.
5)Is this type of flooring convenient? Do you recommend purchasing it?
Yes, it is convenient to buy this type of product for those who want to furnish a house in a purely seaside area. However, experience has taught us that many customers, even if they do not live in seaside locations, appreciate so much the beauty of these products, indisputably qualitative, so much that they want to choose them for their furniture anyway.
