The Councillors of 'Insieme per Scafati' together with Councillors Formisano (FI) and Sarconio (M5s), request the convening of a City Council.

“As opposition city councilors of the coalition 'Together for Scafati' Russo, Grimaldi, Ambrunzo and Carotenuto, with colleagues Formisano and Sarconio, we were forced to ask for the convening of the City Council given the total inertia and non-compliance of the Mayor with Resolution no. 122 of 30.11.2020/90/28, according to which he should have taken action on the Scafati Sviluppo affair and then reported to the Council within XNUMX days, a deadline that expired without any outcome on February XNUMX.
To date, not only has the Mayor not reported anything, but we even fear that he has done little or nothing of what the Council requested.
We recall that the affair arose following the discovery, by the opposition, that an alleged parking restriction was found to be urbanistically non-existent and therefore the reduced valuation of 20,00 euros per square meter of some areas of Scafati Sviluppo spa, purchased by private individuals during bankruptcy, was not justified.
For this reason, we requested with a motion approved by the Council that the Municipal Administration give a mandate to a lawyer to identify the actions to be undertaken with the utmost promptness to safeguard the public and patrimonial interests of the Municipality.
With the same motion we also asked to verify that the legal representative of Scafati Sviluppo had punctually carried out his duties, including those related to the protection of the company assets. We also asked to evaluate the urban planning regularity of the sale of lots of land.”
