Long lines of ambulances lined up at the Covid hospital in Scafati and today the Carabinieri even arrived for a check.
The military of the Territorial Department of Nocera Inferiore – as reported by some newspapers and confirmed by investigative sources – found four rescue vehicles waiting with patients inside upon their arrival. A crew had been waiting for a place to become available for about 24 hours. The men of the Carabinieri, led by Lieutenant Colonel Rosario Di Gangi, found that the hospital was not receiving patients due to saturation.

In these hours, further investigations are underway to verify how the interventions are assigned and whether everything is working correctly. In Scafati in recent days, a situation has been experienced that the health workers themselves have defined as unsustainable. The hospital is saturated mainly due to the serious increase in infections that has affected the Agro Nocerino Sarnese area. In Scafati alone, there are 1336 citizens currently positive, a very high percentage that is sending the hospital network into a tailspin.
