In Italy, more than 3 million confirmed cases of Covid have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic, over a year ago, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
Today, in fact, there are 24.036 infections, bringing the total to 3.023.129. Instead, 378.463 molecular and antigenic swabs for covid were carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy. Yesterday there were 339.635. The positivity rate is 6,3%, down 0.4 compared to yesterday's 6,7%. The victims are 297 deaths (-42).
Of these, 433.571 are in home isolation, 20.374 are hospitalized with symptoms. There are 2.525 patients in intensive care: 222 admissions today. A total of 5.019.869 vaccine doses have been administered.
As of today in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health, there are 456.470 currently positive, an increase of 10.031 compared to yesterday. Those recovered and discharged since the beginning of the emergency are instead 2.467.388, with an increase of 13.682 in the last 24 hours.

The regions with the highest number of cases are Lombardy 5.210 cases, Emilia Romagna 3.246 and Campania 2.842.
"Today there are over 24 thousand new cases in Italy, it is the confirmation that we are in a growth phase. There is a perceptible increase this week. And also that what we were saying in recent days was not alarmism but with good reason the prediction of a possible increase that we hope to be able to contain". This was stated by the Director General of Prevention of the Ministry of Health, Gianni Rezza, at the press briefing on the analysis of the regional monitoring data.
