The National Educational Competition COOKING QUIZ is involving approximately 100 Hotel Institutes and over 20.000 students in Italy.
The protagonists, last Friday, were the students of the Hotel Institute "Graziani” of Torre Annunziata who have obtained excellent results.
Classes IV A Food and Wine and IV B Sales and Dining have won a place in the National Final in May, where they will have to “fight” against the best classes from all over Italy, representing their Institute.
Exciting experience for the students of the “Graziani” High School of Torre Annunziata protagonists of the Cooking Quiz, the captivating project, this year in DIGITAL version, which since January has been involving the Hotel Institutes of Italy and which will end in May with the National Final.
The “Torresi” students achieved great results during the competition: thanks to the ALMA Chef Teacher Valerio Cabri, Stefano Venturelli, Restaurant Manager of ALMA and Alvin Crescini, speaker and presenter of the contest who were able to capture and involve the students for the entire duration of the appointments. After an initial part of teaching, the students measured themselves through the captivating quiz that distinguishes the project: a fun method to learn and test the level of learning.
Classes 4^A Food and Wine and 4^B Sala-Sales have won a place in the National Final in May, where they will have to “fight” against the best classes from all over Italy, representing their Institute. Great satisfaction for Prof. Antonio Piemonte, coordinator of the project.
Cooking Quiz, for its educational, formative and ethical value, is sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Agricultural, Forestry and Tourism Policies and is the educational project adopted by the National Network of Hotel Institutes of Italy Re.Na.IA

A new feature of the 5th edition is the focus dedicated to the good practices of Separate Collection of aluminum, plastic, glass and steel packaging that are used every day in the kitchen, thanks to the collaboration of the National Consortia for the Collection, Recovery and Recycling of Packaging, CIAL, COREPLA, COREVE and RICREA. Plastic trays and films, glass bottles and jars, steel cans, aluminum trays and foil, are just a few examples of the packaging that we all use every day in the kitchen, not only to prepare our dishes in the best possible way but also to preserve and protect food. Thanks to glass, steel, aluminum and plastic packaging, in fact, we fight food waste and our food lasts longer. The National Consortia that participate in the Cooking Quiz guarantee the start of recycling of all this packaging, allowing for enormous savings in materials and energy, and making our country a virtuous example throughout the world.
