"To date we do not know who will deal with corporate crises at the Ministry of Economic Development, because after the installation of the new Government the delegations have not yet been assigned. But, independently of this, I have once again urged the urgency of convening a table on the dispute at Officine Maccaferri in Bellizzi", communicated Anna Bilotti, Salerno MP of the 5 Star Movement, participating this morning in the public assembly of workers, called after the announcement by the company management of the decision to close the plant.

“My commitment alongside them has been going on for months and will continue – he assured Bilotti – Shortly before the government crisis, the Mise had already made a commitment to convene the parties, now it is a matter of starting again from that commitment and urgently putting a useful date on the calendar. The sudden and reckless decision of the top management of the Maccaferri group is neither clear nor acceptable, especially if we consider that we are talking about a historic company that produces “gabions” to combat hydrogeological instability, a sector for which the Conte government has allocated 11 billion euros and which can offer enormous job opportunities”.
