Every Saturday they clean up a green space in the city of Naples of their choice, on a purely voluntary basis: the initiative is from the Naples section of the association "La Via della Felicità" which for a few months has been taking care of cleaning green areas
“An example of civic collaboration for which we thank the volunteers and other associations that participate.” – says Pascal Lemos, head of The Way to Happiness – “It’s a very satisfying job. It may seem very intense but in reality these results were obtained over the months by working only on Saturday mornings. So it’s something manageable and compatible with work hours. It makes us feel good to dedicate ourselves to our city. Needless to say, many passers-by thank us for everything we’re doing. And since we’re in Naples, of course they offer us coffee.”
In fact, the volunteers of The Way to Happiness joined Adrian Di Capua in arranging the green areas of the Tondo di Capodimonte, which they have been rearranging for months and which has now truly taken on a different appearance.
These are anti-degradation activities that volunteers are carrying out in Naples with initiatives that range from the historic center, to the parks, to the beaches.
“Caring for the planet begins in your own backyard,” wrote philosopher L. Ron Hubbard in his common-sense guide to better living, The Way to Happiness. “It extends to the distance you walk to school or to work. […] You don’t have to add to the dirt that pollutes the land and groundwater, or increase the fire hazards in the bush. In fact, you can do something constructive with your free time.”
The interventions will continue regularly with weekly appointments.
