Philosopher Ernesto Paolozzi, a 67-year-old former city councilor and professor at the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies, has passed away suddenly. The City of Naples announces his passing, expressing its "deepest condolences" and sympathy to his family.
A liberal exponent, a great scholar of Croce to whom he dedicated several books, Paolozzi, author of numerous essays and collaborator of several newspapers, founded the association “G. Amendola” and the magazine “Studi Critici”. He was also the scientific director of the Luigi Einaudi Foundation of Rome for the three-year period 1992-1995 and a professor of History of Contemporary Philosophy at the University “Suor Orsola Benincasa”.
Actor's brother Oscar Di Maio, Ernesto Paolozzi, 67 years old, was the son of the headmaster Mariano Paolozzi who as a young man was deported to Dachau and who, to remember that terrible experience, wrote the book “Dachau and back“. A text thanks to which entire generations of students from the province of Naples have learned about the horrors of war.
