They killed a Nigerian and wounded another in Castel Volturno, guilty of stealing drugs worth 40 thousand euros from the Sorianiello clan: 5 arrested.
This morning, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples and the Territorial Department of Mondragone have executed a custodial order issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, following complex investigations coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against five individuals, considered to be seriously suspected, to varying degrees, of murder, attempted murder, illegal possession and carrying of weapons, as well as possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics, crimes aggravated by the mafia method and the aim of benefiting, by consolidating its prestige and predominance over the Neapolitan territory, the Camorra group "Sorianiello".
The investigations made it possible to quickly reconstruct the dynamics, the motive and those responsible for the ferocious ambush against two Nigerian citizens, OVIAMWONYI Desmond and IADHOSA Morris Joe, which occurred in Castel Volturno on 10 September 2020.
In particular, it was ascertained that the murderous ambush had taken place in the criminal group "della 99", a branch of the Sorianiello clan, following the theft by OVIAMWONYI Desmond and another Nigerian citizen, UWADIAE Leo, of an envelope containing narcotic substance , marijuana and cocaine, with a market value of approximately 40.000 euros, intended to supply the "della 99" drug dealing square, so called because it is located in the housing complex of the same name in the Rione Traiano, to take revenge for the theft suffered and to secure a position of supremacy over the territory, as the punishment of those responsible would also have achieved the aim of preventing the repetition of similar episodes.

The punitive expedition was carried out with three different journeys, round trips, from Rione Traiano to Castel Volturno, the place from which the two Nigerians came. The first trip, to explore the area, was unsuccessful because the two Nigerians could not be found; the second trip, following which the two were found, ended with the apparent agreement on the part of the suspects to pay the two Nigerians the sum of 2.000 euros requested by them for the return of the narcotic; the third and final journey culminated in the murder of OVIAMWONYI Desmond and the wounding of IADHOSA Morris Joe, the latter not involved in the theft of the narcotic, but present, together with other compatriots, inside the courtyard of the home of OVIAMWONYI and UWADIAE, at at whose address numerous shots were fired with a cal. 9x21, after OVIAMWONYI Desmond and UWADIAE Leo had refused to hand over the narcotic if they had not first received the requested sum of money.
