High impact in Caivano: 21 people fined
Yesterday, the agents of the Afragola Police Station and the Caivano Local Police, with the support of the crews of the Campania Crime Prevention Department, the Canine Unit of the General Prevention Office, the Fire Brigade and personnel from the Municipality's Technical Office, carried out an operation “high impact” in the Green Park of Caivano to identify and remove illegal artefacts and combat the phenomenon of drug dealing.
During the service they identified 41 people, 13 of whom had previous police records, sanctioning 2 of them for failure to comply with anti-Covid-19 measures because they were not wearing a mask, checked 17 vehicles and contested a violation of the Highway Code for careless entrustment; in addition, they reported a person for driving without a license.
The cleanup operations allowed the removal of illegal iron fences and an entire perimeter wall, and the discovery, hidden in a cavity in the stairwell of a building, of a bag containing approximately 34 grams of cocaine, a stick of hashish weighing one gram and a package with 1,3 grams of marijuana.
Finally, inside some buildings, the Fire Brigade removed gates, grates, armoured doors and iron "cages", which had been illegally installed for the purpose of facilitating drug dealing activities.
