In the last 24 hours, two new earthquakes of bradyseismic nature have been recorded in the Phlegraean area.
The most intense event, measuring 2,0 on the Richter scale at a depth of 3.822 metres, occurred at 1,10 am last night with its epicentre in the sea, off the Gulf of Pozzuoli, a short distance from Cape Miseno. shock It was preceded yesterday afternoon, at 16.06 by another event of magnitude 1.3 at a depth of 4 thousand meters with its epicenter always in the sea between Pozzuoli and Bacoli. At the moment there are no reported damages to people or things. The seismic phenomena are part of the ascending phase of the bradyseism of the Phlegraean area that has recorded in the last few days, especially last Monday, a swarm of 11 low intensity shocks during the day. However, the ascending phenomenon that has been ongoing for about ten years is clearly evident in some sites of Pozzuoli, such as the dock and the temple of Serapis. In the dock, also thanks to the low tide, the seabed with the boats on dry land is visible for large stretches.
